PRESS RELEASE: D3 GO! NAMES OKTAGON GAMES AS DEVELOPER OF MAGIC: THE GATHERING – PUZZLE QUEST MOBILE GAME

LOS ANGELES – September 27, 2017 – D3 Go! today announced that Oktagon Games will be the new developer of Magic: The Gathering – Puzzle Quest.  In addition, Steve Fawkner, the original creator of Puzzle Quest will be taking a Senior Designer consultant role with Oktagon Games to assist on the title.  Oktagon Games replaces former developer Hibernum, after announcement of their studio closure in August.

The team at Oktagon Games and D3 Go! are currently working on the release of Ixalan, the latest Magic: The Gathering TCG set, and will expect the release of cards from that set in November.  Other announced features like Booster Crafting will still be coming to the game but have been delayed to later this year.

Magic: The Gathering – Puzzle Quest competitive events, cards and booster packs, special offers and more are currently live and available for all players to enjoy.  In the interim, the team is going to offer an opportunity for players to experience content from previous releases which will provide unique opportunities to collect missing cards and enhance their decks from previous sets.  Details of this schedule will be available to view via the D3 Go! forums in the coming days.

“We are impressed with the development capabilities that the Oktagon team brings to the title and are excited by the creativity, passion and commitment to make Magic: The Gathering – Puzzle Quest a game for all to enjoy,” said Peter Andrew, vice president of Publishing, D3 Go!.

UPDATE: RECENT HIBERNUM CLOSURE NEWS

As some of you may have heard, Hibernum, the developer of Magic: The Gathering – Puzzle Quest, announced closure of their studio effective today (8/16/17).  We are unable to comment on the status and details of their closure.  We do want to assure players that the game servers are running and the game is live as we work with a team of engineers and programmers to take over development operations and continue the vision set forth by the team for the game.  We thank all the staff at Hibernum that supported the game since launch and we wish them the very best in their future endeavors.

Thank you.

UPDATE: ADVENTURE TIME PUZZLE QUEST REMOVAL OF ONLINE SUPPORT

Hello ATPQ Players –

On June 8, 2017 we will be releasing an update (v2.01) to the game which will have some big changes.

This version will remove our online support from the game. What does this mean for you?

– You will still be able to download the game and play.

– You will not be able to transfer saves between different devices.

– You will still be able to compete in Tourney Mode, but you will be playing against AI bots instead of actual player creations. This will make the game entirely a single player experience.

– You will still be able to purchase Magic Dust and Hero Coins, recruit characters, and craft new items, but we will not be able to offer customer support on these to remotely grant you items for any resulting issues.

– We will not update the title to address incompatibilities that may arise due to currently unavailable hardware or software.

Between now and June 8th, we will be crediting player accounts with some additional loot to enjoy.  We appreciate your support on this game and hope you continue to enjoy playing it!

Thanks,

The D3 Go! Team

UPDATE: MADAGASCAR: JOIN THE CIRCUS STOREFRONT REMOVAL – JUNE 2017

Hello fans of Madagascar: Join the Circus –

As of June 16th 2017, Madagascar: Join the Circus will be removed from all corresponding app storefronts (Apple, Google Play, and Amazon) and our external servers will be taken offline.

What does this mean for you?

If you have not yet downloaded the game, but want to, please do so and launch the game now! It may be taken off the iTunes Appstore as early as June 4th (this is not completely under our control). It will be removed from the remaining app storefronts on June 16th.

If you have already downloaded and enjoy playing Madagascar: Join the Circus, the game will continue to be playable beyond June 16th, however…

– You will no longer be able to purchase Bananas.

– We will not update the title to address hardware or software incompatibilities or other unforeseen issues.

– You will not be able to transfer the game to new devices.

– Though we have tested the title under this environment, you may experience unforeseen issues that will not be addressed.

– We will no longer offer customer support.

As we take the game offline, all players that have played and connected to the server prior to us taking the servers offline will receive a large cache of bananas to continue to enjoy the game and purchase in-game items. If you first install the game after the servers are taken offline (through a hosted install file or otherwise), you will not be able to play the game.

Thank you immensely for the love and support you have offered on this title!

Thanks,

The D3 Go! Team
