We are excited to announce the addition of Jeannette Teahan to the Operation Supply Drop Advisory Board.
Jeannette (Robinson) Teahan is an Account Executive with Y&L Consulting, Inc. and has worked in business development, recruiting and staffing, marketing, and consulting since 2009. In addition, she is the VP of Corporate Development for the initiative #10000Strong, an organization dedicated to the support of local Military, Veteran, and First Responder communities. She has a history of over two decades of community service. Jeannette resides in San Antonio, Texas with her husband and four children.
Reflecting on her addition to the board Teahan said, “I’m sincerely honored to have this opportunity and feel very fortunate to have discovered OSD and a place for my own purpose through service.”
We then sat down with Jeannette for a quick Q&A:
What draws you to Operation Supply Drop?
Authenticity. Operation Supply Drop goes well beyond the scope of “traditional” non-profits in an effort to reach individuals more comprehensively. OSD has an authentic commitment to positively impact as many individuals from a humble, and more importantly accurate, perception of the type of support folks need most.
Why is it important for you to support our military and veterans?
I have a firm belief that nothing in life should be taken for granted, including our security. As a member of our community, I think it’s imperative to support our military families and return service for service for the betterment of the entire community. It is not only mutual respect, but recognition of sacrifice and one’s commitment to honorable duty. We all have this responsibility to share.
What do you hope to accomplish in your first year as an Advisory Board member?
Awareness and support, first and foremost. Because I believe the foundational motivations of OSD are not only exemplary, but more importantly critical for those we serve, my goal is to build upon the success of the organization and help to expand the number of supporters and drive forward the extent of dedication and service.
How important to you is the community connection and purpose through service that OSD builds within The Teams program in helping our veterans?
The community connection and purpose through service that OSD helps to build and instill in Veterans is a critical lifeline. Many service members remain a service member in their heart and minds, regardless of rather they are still actively serving or not. This community is often for life, not just a tour. OSD supporting these connections to community and continued purpose through service is absolutely vital.
Welcome to the Team!
