Warhammer Quest is a fun turn based RPG which utilizes the mechanics of the tabletop Warhammer Game and lets you create a party that traverses dungeons and complete quests. You can create an amazing party made up of various classes and races that will aid you in your quest. As you proceed, you can level up your heroes, loot items from felled foes, and embark of a number of different quests. Fans of Warhammer and other tabletop RPGs won’t want to miss Warhammer Quest!
Pier Solar and the Great Architects
In Pier Solar and the Great Architects, you’ll play as Hoston and his two best friends, Alina and Edessot, as they seek out a rare magic herb to save Hoston’s father who has fallen ill. As they embark on this quest they are embroiled in a larger plot involving Pier Solar and the Great Architects. Fans of old school turn based RPGs will love Pier Solar!
Banner Saga 1 & 2
The Banner Saga is a beautifully rendered strategy RPG which takes place in a world inspired by Viking mythology which has been stuck in a perpetual twilight. You’ll play as the Varl Vognir and human hunter Rock as they travel across the country and their stories merge into one. A challenging game, all of your choices will count as you do your best to protect your entire party as you embark on your quest. Since many of your decisions impact the story events may evolve differently based on the player’s choices. Fans of challenging strategy RPGs should check out the Banner Saga series!
Trulon: The Shadow Engine
In Trulon: The Shadow Engine you’ll take on the role of Gladia, a monster huntress who will set out on a question to cure a disease that has gripped her nation. Most unique to this title is the tactical turn based battle system augmented with the use of a unique card combat system. You’ll collect cards as you progress through the game adding them to each character’s battle deck. Fans of old school RPGs with a new twist will love Trulon: The Shadow Engine!
Wasteland 2: Director’s Cut
Wasteland 2: Director’s Cut comes from the producer of the original Fallout, and is a challenging and fun post-apocalyptic isometric RPG. You’ll play as a Ranger squad charged with investigating the murder of another Ranger called Ace. All of your decisions will have consequences (short and long term) and problems can be resolved in a variety of ways. Fans of the earlier Fallout games and isometric RPGs will love Wasteland 2!
Saturday Morning RPG
In Saturday Morning RPG you’ll play as Martin “Marty” Michael Hall, a high school student who receives great power that ends up attracting the notorious villain Captain Hood. Inspired by 80s Saturday morning cartoons and pop culture, the game’s interesting take on episodic content allows the player to enjoy a variety of experiences as various decisions carry over between episodes. Anima: Gate of Memories
Anima: Gate of Memories is a beautiful action RPG set in the world of the Anima Project. In it you’ll play as an amnesiac called The Bearer and Ergo Mundus, a powerful immortal creature whose power she can call on in battle as they go on a quest to recover an artifact called the Byblos. The choices you make in the game will bring you to one of multiple endings and while there’s a strong story, the level to which you engage with it is up to the player. Fans of creative fantasy worlds and a fun action-RPG experience will love Anime: Gate of Memories!
The Adventures of Van Helsing 1 & 2
The two Adventures of Van Helsing have you put on the wide-brimmed hat of the son of Van Helsing, pick up his weapons and take up his father’s responsibilities in the gothic world of Borgovia. Set in an alternate universe where monsters are real, the game has action-RPG gameplay where you can upgrade your character! The Adventures of Van Helsing 2 starts up where the second finished and adds a ton of new features including classes, new locations, and a new and improved skill system. It also allows you to import your character from the first game to the second. When you begin Pixel Heroes: Byte and Magic, you’ll start in an inn where you’ll assemble your party of wandering adventures and the prepare to enter the rogue-like RPG experience you’ve been waiting for. Pixel Heroes will always keep you guessing and you’ll never have quite the same experience twice! If you love rogue-like games and you’re looking for something new to try should definitely check the unique take on the RPG genre out!
Ittle Dew 2
In this followup to the original Ittle Dew, Ittle and Tippsie crash onto another island filled with loot, puzzle, and interesting inhabitants. Working with a magical map, they’ll seek out 8 pieces of a raft from a variety of locations such as an art exhibit and a random character’s basement. With a great action adventure style and strong story, Ittle Dew 2 is a game that’s definitely worth checking out!
